O’Neill is the original Californian surf and lifestyle brand, founded in 1952 when Jack O’Neill pioneered the first neoprene surfing wetsuit with the aim of extending his surf sessions in the cold waters of Northern California. Jack soon opened his first surf shop in Santa Cruz and the rest is history! O’Neill still hold true to Jack’s original vision of functional, innovative, high quality and stylish surf clothing. In 1985, Jack O’Neill retired and his kids assumed control allowing Jack to enjoy the surf he loved and continue to work on a number of environmental projects.
